18

well I'm now 18. but there's really not all that much to be excited about. ok yeah now i can buy cigarettes, but i don't smoke. and now i can buy porn... man that's sure what i plan to do from now on, NOT.

but now i have some more freedoms i can now vote and have a say in the public choices. also i believe I'm either going into the coast guard or the navy, so there's that. life has just began at 18 i can do more of what i want to do and be able to stand my ground on what i believe. although my rents could kick me out if i do to much bad but i don't think that will an issue.

at 18 is when my dad got outdoors more so I'm really looking forward to being able to do that. backpacking rock climbing and so on.

so now I'm 18 and who's knows whats next....

snow, snow , snow

well once yet again we got some snow. but this time it was much more, about 7-8 inches to be exact. that is a ton in comperision to what we got this year. the cool part was how much we got, it was cool to see all the snow coming down for hours. also we got out of school in the afternoon. the bad part is the fact that i didnt get out on my bike or get to go on my climbing trip. also i missed work, witch to most would be a good thing but to me it sucks because i like my job. but today the snow begain to mealt and it should be gone by wedsday witch is my b-day. so that will be nice.

No Skool

so were getting out of skool early today bc of rain and ice!!! WOOO I'm goin out with a friend after school to celebrate my b-day.

only thing that sucks is it crushes my plans for this weekend rock climbing trip. but hey there's always next week.

Rock Climbing

this coming Sunday if the weather is nice I'm planing on going into the Frederick water shed to go climb El rock. i have been rock climbing a whole bunch of times and I'm really looking forward to getting back out there. i have done a few climbs in the water shed, i didn't make a few of the climbs out there last year and now that I'm stronger i think i may be able to do better.

also i may be bringing a teacher from my high school Mr. Widmyer. i aid for him 3rd period and i had a class with him last semester. i think it would be pretty dame cool to climb with a teacher. also there are some other friends that are interested I'm coming but I'm not sure who i will bring because i need to know that they will be safe because the last thing i need is for someone to get hurt.

but like i said in my last post its spring and i try to do as much out doors as possible more so this year being its my senior year. i want to try and do as much as i possibly can. i have some float trips in planing to kayak the Potomac and the Monocacy, also biking the C&O in 1 day this summer and much more. so need less to say I'm really looking forward to no only this trip but many others.

SPRING!!!!

spring is finaly here. im so excited about the new nice weather and cant wait to get out in the woods. i messed with my backpacking and rockclimbing gear last night. im plaining on heading up into the woods soon to do so hiking and so climbing. climbing for me is not a year round thing ill only climb in the spring and summer and early fall. backpacking on the other hand is a year round thing, but i didnt get out there to much.

also im hopeing to get out on my MTB, i strated MTBing this winter and had a good time but the cold really sucks. so im looking forward to all types of biking and haveing some nice weather to do it in. also im looking to kayak and all that good stuff, fishing and all...

to sum it all up i cant wait for the nice weather to finaly stick aound so i can get out and have a good time.

welcome to my second blog. this one is all about ME!! i am going to use this for all my crazy adventures, i seem to go at all this stuff solo so i decided to start a personal blog. it is titled backyard biker but that dosent mean that I'm only going to post up on my bike ride, i just am a backyard biker and bike builder. 2 of my 5 bikes are old bikes i acquired and painted and now ride the daylights out of them... but anyways i welcome you to the blog and thank you for checking it out.

Winter Wonder land

Today i headed out on my MTB for another great snow ride. the weather was cold but it wasn't to bad i didn't get cold other then my toes like normal in the winter. when i headed out it wasn't really snowing it was more like sleet but quickly turned into big old flakes it was great. this year i have done a bunch of rides in the snow and I'm loving it. i cant complain about the snow at all, although it would have been nice to have some company to see how nice of a time i had, and they would be able to help me convince everyone that it is as amazing as i say it is. can wait for tomorrow hopefully it doesn't melt so when i get home i can go remark where i rode today. tons of fun and i hope somebody other then my self got out there and enjoyed it was much as i did.
